What is cradled panel?

Cradled panel is essentially a flat panel that has exposed wood sides that are flush with the panel. Larger panels include cross bracing.

Do you build your own cradled panel?

For smaller, common sizes, I typically purchase premium panels as its just more economical. However, for larger sizes and dimensions that are not standard, I build my own in my wood shop. I have 20+ years experience building cradled panel.

How are the sides finished?

Most of the time the sides are finished with a clear varnish, which provides gives a clean and minimal look, and is ready to hang. If you are interested in a color or stain, please contact me.
